Traffic Alert I-84 Closed Between Pendleton & La Grande

I-84 is closed EASTBOUND and WESTBOUND due to crash involving hazardous materials at MP 233 near Meacham. The EASTBOUND freeway is closed at Exit 216 six miles east of Pendleton. The WESTBOUND freeway is closed at Exit 302 in Baker City due to no room left for trucks to park in La Grande. Icy conditions are present along the freeway between La Grande and Pendleton resulting in additional crashes in the area. The Hazardous material spill occurred along the EASTBOUND lanes, but the WESTBOUND lanes are also impacted due to material spill. Haz-mat response crews will advise when freeway can be open.
