The old Circle K at Gage and Leslie is set to become a Roasters Coffee by the spring of next year.

A traffic clusterF already, is there even room to put in a drive-thru at 590 W. Gage Blvd.?

As of now, the property can be accessed from the Leslie southbound lanes or westbound Gage lanes. The Gage lanes entrance would be closed off so drivers would travel just a bit more west and use the entrance to the strip mall which houses Greek Islands Cuisine and Papa Murphy's. A concrete barrier would also be removed to better access and then exit the business.

Roasters brass is confident their systems have been "refined" to push a lot of traffic through quickly. Sorry, that's a pipe dream....that intersection is absolutely nuts already every weekday afternoon. It doesn't matter if you get your drink in a timely fashion if you can't get out of the parking lot. We'll see.

Circle K has to remove the underground gas tanks before the property can even be prepped for sale, so this is at least a year off.

After a decade in business, Roasters has decided to up their own ante with expansion and new branding.

Future Roasters sights include West 27th Avenue and South Vancouver Street, east of Canyon Lakes in Kennewick, that site is currently under construction; Steptoe Blvd. and Center Parkway in South Richland (construction begins in July, opening late 2019) on the lot that was going to be a car wash. Roasters snatched that up in anticipation of a 10,000 square-foot strip mall that is planned in that area.

Roasters' master plan is to open 25 total shops by 2023, including two in Spokane and one in Yakima, the Walla Walla expansion is complete and open.

Roasters first opened a decade ago on North 20th Avenue across from Columbia Basin College in Pasco.
