
Train Derails near the Yakima River Bridge in Richland
A train carrying corn derailed on Friday near The Yakima River Bridge and caused a closure at Columbia Park Trail and Steptoe according to the Richland Police Department.
I'm sure the crash sounded loud as a train with eight cars carrying corn derailed after 4 PM on Friday afternoon. Firefighters and first-responders were called in and luckily no injuries were reported.
According to the Associated Press, no reason was given for the derailment and the accident is under investigation. BNSF said that the cars and corn will be cleaned up and crews were out there on Saturday working on it.
