Doe Bay Resort Treehouse is one of the most iconic vacation destinations on the San Juan Islands and for good reason. They're innovative. Seattle Treehouse & Homestead may be the cheapest option on our list, but it's for the outdoorsy type. "Pete, if I'm looking at a treehouse to rent, I must be outdoorsy." Yeah, but this is literally outdoors. It's a 20x10 open air treehouse. You'll have all the fresh air you can breathe.

Treehouse on Whidbey Island is another well-reviewed AirBnB treehouse. Whidbey Island is pretty cool, too. You'll need to take the ferry to get back to mainland Washington, which is fun. Otherwise you take the really long route back. This particular house is cool because the tree goes right through the living space.

Waterfront Treehouse may be the coziest of all the treehouses listed. It also comes with a complimentary hot tub and kayak for the true adventurer. Located in Gig Harbor, you're a ferry ride away from Seattle. Of all of these, I'm looking at this one for a fun getaway with my family, for what it's worth. There's a lot of bang for your buck here.
