If you are new to the Tri-Cities or thinking about moving to another neighborhood in the Tri-Cities, it's always good to know what kind of neighborhood you're moving into.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder but when I moved to Yakima years ago I was told to live above 16th avenue and I didn't take the advice so it wasn't shocking that my car got broken into within days of living in the neighborhood.

Crimegrade.org is just one website you can get statistics from concerning the Tri-Cities. There are many other places to get information on the safety of the neighborhoods and I think that word of mouth will always be the #1 place to get information for me.

I wish I would've listened to people around me when I moved to Yakima because Yakima has been the only city I've ever lived where I've had anything criminal happen to me.

In the end, it's always up to you where you live but making an educated does help in the process.
