What If Tri-Cities Washington Really Had Super Heroes?

I was eight years old when I picked up my first comic book and from that moment on, I was hooked.

Check Out 9 Super Heroes Created For Tri-Cities Washington

It might surprise you to discover that when I was a kid growing up, liking superheroes wasn't cool.

It's hard to fathom a day when we didn't have Marvel Comics and DC Comics movies all over the big screen.

My first comic was Superman #320 and for some reason, it just seemed to glimmer like a beacon from the newsstand. I have some valuable comic books in my personal collection but for me, Superman #320 is priceless.

I remember being in middle school and all of my friends were creating their own comic book companies. We couldn't seem to get along so looking back it's hilarious as I'm sure this mirrored the launch of Image Comics breaking away from Marvel and DC Comics but with little kids in middle school thinking they're going to be the next big thing.

Orisis below was a character I created in 1984 when I was in high school and still remains one of my favorites.

My comic group was called Fantasy Comics and I created hundreds of characters. The one thing I wasn't great at was creating the stories around them. I did manage to do a 33-issue run that I wrote and drew of my own Avengers creation.

It was called The Avengers 2050 and even though it featured mainly Marvel Comics characters, I did create a few characters of my own in the stories.

I wish I still had those crud comics but I lost them through the years. I discovered girls in my sophomore year of high school and out went the comics. I haven't lost my love for comic books but as they say, life intervenes.

I still like to doodle and my co-worker had asked "why don't we create some superheroes for the Tri-Cities?" It seemed like a fun idea so Pete and I sat down with some ideas and fleshed out our Tri-Cities superheroes.

If you like superheroes in general, I think you'll like the characters we created and we've even given some of these heroes and villains a back story to make them more interesting.

Learn The Secret Origins Of The Hanford Heroes

Pete and I had some fun as we fleshed out the Tri-Cities superheroes. I knew we had to use Hanford Heroes as an umbrella term for our universe and our superhero group is The Reactivators. We have a villain and some henchmen to round our comic series and of course, we'll have a battle at B Reactor!

The wait is OVER! Here are the Hanford Heroes!

9 Tri-Cities Super Heroes That'll Save The Day

Tri-Cities Washington has its own set of superhero defenders. From Hanford to the Columbia River and beyond, these seven amazing heroes come together to protect the Tri-Cities from the evil Dr. Atomo and his deformed Atomo Men.

I've already managed to visualize the first story as Dr. Atomo tries to take over the Hanford Site for nefarious reasons, it's up to the TC Titan and the Hanford Heroes to save the day in a story I've aptly titled "Battle At B Reactor"
