Should Tri-Cities Expect a Dry Christmas in 2022?
Could Tri-Cities get NO SNOW on Christmas Day?
Even though we are currently experiencing La Niña in the Pacific Ocean, there is zero indication that the Tri-Cities area will be under snow in December. I took a look at the weather for a month out (look, I'm not an expert) and most days are expected to be in the forties, including the week of Christmas.
Can you still have a perfect Christmas without snow?
Surely I'm not the only person who prefers clear roads and clear skies during the holidays. I understand there's some sort of attachment to snow in December but I have never felt that Christmas without snow was a bad thing. With the Snowmageddon of 2018-2019 seared in my mind, I'd rather have a 40-degree Christmas.
When is snow coming to Tri-Cities?
Again, I am not a weather expert but I do look ahead from time to time. I'm having a hard time believing this myself, but there doesn't appear to be a nasty winter on the horizon. I can't see instances of sustained snow on the calendar through March. If that answer isn't good enough for you, there is a nifty little website dedicated to predicting imminent snowfall. By the way, here's a little fun fact. The infamous winter of 2018 which saw no snow on Christmas had one less inch of snow than the previous year. Yet I still have nightmares of snow in March.
