I talked to my money guy, he says hold off on the coin.

I asked him about it being "only" $100, the brand spanking new Trump Defeats COVID-19 coin, as an investment, do you see this as a good idea growing in value down the road?

He didn't him haw around, but he gave me the obligatory disclaimers, "I'm not a coin guy", "I'm not a politics guy", etc. but I did manage to wrangle out of him that at this point, he would not pull the trigger.

Newsweek says the Unofficial White House Gift Shop is selling a new "Trump Defeats COVID-19" coin. It costs $100. As of this writing, there is no picture of the coin from the website to show you.

The coin is part of a series that "chronicles historic moments in the presidency of President Donald J. Trump," designed by Anthony Giannini, who is also board chairman of the White House Gift Shop.

Giannini, writing about the design of the coin, said: "When we heard the sad news of President Trump's positive COVID test, once again we had faith and prayed but we knew our President would find a way to Knockout COVID in early rounds of this battle."

The coin is part of a series that chronicles historic moments in the presidency of President Donald J. Trump. Giannini continued, "President Trump, as you know, is a fan of boxing, and the new design includes more than a hint of superhero qualities in history's most fascinating president. President Trump, whether you are in his corner or not, is a sui generis, a one-of-a-kind, bigger than life, singular energetic force."

Sui generis? Well, you've coined one, there.
