Two Pasco District Teachers Killed in Murder-Suicide Shooting
Two Pasco School District teachers have been killed in a murder-suicide found on Halloween. Both Dustin A. G. Altshuler, 37, and Laura Cole, 35, were found killed from gun shot wounds after a family member went to check on them.
Pasco School District released in a statement, "We are deeply saddened to learn of the deaths of two Pasco School District staff members."
Dustin A. G. Altshuleris is the same Pasco teacher facing charges for groping a taxi driver early last Sunday morning. He was arrested and charged with felony indecent liberties. He was released on bail and was set to appear in court today.
Investigators say that Dustin A. G. Altshuleris shot and killed Cole and then killed himself sometime on Halloween, according to reports.
Laura Cole was a special education teacher at Whittier Elementary in Pasco. She had worked in the Pasco District since 2016. She also worked at Stevens Middle School and at the Early Learning Center.
"We will have counselors available at both schools this week to support the students and staff members who knew and worked with these teachers. Counselors will also be available to support students and staff members at other schools who have worked with these teachers previously", said the district.
#UPDATE: Cole's family confirms the couple was married.
