Authorities have released that Linda Saracson, 67, was the victim in the Friday house fire in Richland.

She was deaf and communicated with sign language. Her roommate was out buying groceries when the fire started. It is still unclear the cause of the fire.

The home was owned by her son.

Neighbors remember her as a loving "mom" to the dog and cat that lived with her and also perished in the fire. She often sat on the front porch in the chairs seen in the photo.

The World War II-era prefab was about two blocks north of Beaver Bark and two blocks west of WinCo Foods in Richland.
