First of all, I would like to start by saying that I have many photos of me holding guns. When the picture is taken, it is usually someone else who is taking it and I am not shooting myself. I am shooting a target or a game animal. With that said, why would you point the gun at yourself and then take a selfie?Well, that is exactly what happened to a man in Concrete, Wash. Reports say that the man and his girlfriend were taking selfies with the gun for social networking purposes, and he fatally shot himself. This is extremely sad.

Guns should not be used as selfie props. Please be careful when handling guns and always check the safety. Better yet, unload the gun unless you intend to use it properly.  Prayers for his family and girlfriend.

On a side note, 2016 just got one of the first candidates for a Darwin Award.
