Ruthless! The Musical- The Richland Players present the final weekend of Ruthless! The Musical. It's the story of a naive 1950s housewife, Judy, and her adorable but sociopath 8-year-old daughter Tina. Encouraged by her manager, Sylvia, Tina will do ANYTHING to get the lead role in her school play “including murdering the leading lady!" 2018 Asparagus Fest & Brews- The 2018 Asparagus Fest & Brews will be held May 12th at Middleton Six Sons Farms from 5 to 10pm. For only $10 admission, come get your groove on to the great tunes by Knutzen Brothers and Badlandz. Sample a variety of FREE Asparagus delicacies such as deep fried, grilled, pickled and ice cream. 2018 Mommy & Me Tea Party- All ages welcome at this fun, memorable Mommy & Me Tea Party! Get dressed in your finest tea party attire (hats, gloves, pearls, boas, tiaras!) and enjoy tea (juice) & cookies, served on elegant china in Stone Ridge Event Center's beautiful gardens. Lots of fun activities, face painting, pony rides & a bouncy house! New this year, some great vendors will be on hand for some wonderful Mother's Day Gifts, and other goodies mommies love!
A Celebration of Gravitational Waves and Light with Art- The LIGO Observatory Hanford has invited Mid-Columbia Ballet and other students from Pasco High School and Libby Middle School to help the celebrate GW170817. GW170817 is the title of one of LIGO’s most exciting events, a detection of gravitational waves produced by colliding neutron stars, a discovery which marks the first cosmic event observed in both gravitational waves and light. This unique event hosted by Mid-Columbia Ballet and LIGO Hanford Observatory is focused around a walking tour of LIGO’s facility. The tour, which is led by LIGO scientists, is incorporated with site-specific dance performances by Mid-Columbia Ballet. An art walk concludes the tour with displays of student interpretations of gravitational waves by Libby Middle and Pasco High schools.
