Kanye West isn't going to be President, at least in 2020 but a surprising amount of voters voted for him, and our neighbor state Idaho even had votes cast for him.

I'm from the Lewiston/Clarkston Valley which borders the Washington/Idaho border along the Snake River and even though I'm a native Washingtonian from Clarkston, Idaho was literally across the bridge.

I've lived in Idaho as well since it was a hop, skip, and a jump across from Washington and so I'm familiar with both sides of the river.

Kanye West announced he was running for President and I was one of those people who snickered but I'm not snickering any longer.

Kanye across several states got votes and I'll put into a better perspective for you, Kanye has received more votes to be President of the United States than you and I.

So let's break down the numbers. Kanye was on the ballot in 12 states that include  Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, and Vermont.

Our friends in Idaho gave Kanye a resounding 3,631 votes! He received out of those 12 states roughly 60,000 votes after spending over 10 million to get on those ballots!

I'd love to see what he got in Washington State but since I can only see "write-in" on the results I can only speculate how many votes he got in our state.

I wonder if these results will have Kanye thinking about a 2024 run? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
