What started out last year as a way to provide some holiday joy to ease the discomfort we experienced during the pandemic has now become a holiday tradition.

State Fair Park in Yakima has announced the 2nd Annual Holiday Drive-Thru Light Fest, taking place November 27th through December 4th. Presented by Yakima Federal Savings and Loan, this holiday lighting extravaganza is just what the community needs to usher in the holiday season.

25 Miles of Lights Provides an Illuminated Evening of Fun by the Carload

According to the State Fair Park team, the best of what everyone loved last year is coming back:

All your favorite holiday-themed scenes along with over 25 miles of lights illuminating buildings and trees will be back this year.  Some of the themed scenes include Candyland with a festive gingerbread house, the North Pole with two of Santa’s reindeer, a mailbox for letters to Santa, and the big man himself!

But of course, you can expect plenty of new attractions this time around:

Three more holiday-themed scenes have been added – Dino Land, Rock’N Christmas and a second drive-thru light tunnel. More food and beverage options will be available plus miles more of new lights.

A Good Idea Under the Circumstances, Became a Great New Holiday Tradition

CEO Kathy Kramer says,

The community really embraced the Holiday Drive-Thru Light Fest last year and over 14,000 vehicles enjoyed this new event over the two-week run. We knew from the community’s response we had created something special that would be a holiday tradition for many years to come.
