The NFL playoffs are winding down with only four teams remaining after today. After the Falcons beat the Seahawks, I switched over to the afternoon game between the Patriots and Texans. As the camera was panning around the field, showing players preparing for the game, there was a shot of Houston Texans Lineback Connor Barwin sitting on the sidelines. Man, his gloves must smell really good.

Actually, its probably just smelling salts. Taking a hit of smelling salts in contact sports isn't much of a new thing. They are even used by some players as a ritual before a game, which could explain this video. You have probably heard of smelling salts being used after big hits in both football or hockey, but its pretty rare for it to be put on TV.
