As we all cheer for the snow melt to continue, Old Man Winter has one more surprise for us. Snow mold. It's something that most in our area just don't have to worry about because our lawns aren't usually covered with snow this long. We might see a lot of lawns this spring and summer that are usually well manicured, beautiful lawns with brown spots and trying hard to recover. Much of that can be from snow mold. Snow mold comes in two varieties, pink and grey, and is usually concentrated in circles up to a foot in diameter. The video below shows snow mold and tells how important it is to rake the area.
