Around 8:15 Thursday morning, Washington State Patrol Troopers spotted this car near Van Giesen and Highway 240, and were going to pull over the driver for a possible seatbelt violation.

However, after the car pulled over and the trooper exited his car, the driver sped off. His name was not given, but he sped away up Interstate 182, but near Aaron Drive, lost control of his vehicle, rolled and crashed.

The driver was trapped inside, and Richland Fire Crews had to cut him out of the car. During the chase, the driver clipped another vehicle, but did not cause them to crash. Speeds during the chase exceeded 100mph. Turns out the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant, which likely prompted him to flee.

The incident continues to be investigated. The suspect driver was not seriously hurt.
