A bizarre case in Kennewick faced officers Saturday afternoon.

Around 10:45AM Officers responded to call about a burglary in progress at the Over the Rainbow child center at 1720 West 4th in Kennewick.

An employee of the facility called to say an unknown male was inside. They showed up and found a door had been kicked open, and the intruder was inside the building.

WHAT DID SUSPECT DO THEN?

Officers surrounded the facility, and observed the man inside, but he refused to obey commands. Apparently he was hungry as he entered the pantry area and began to make himself lunch, according to Police

But then Pasco Police were called and brought in one of their K-9 units. The man inside was told the dog would be sent in to search the building and he better leave.

No word if he got to keep his sandwich.
