Kennewick Police issued information late Tuesday afternoon about an alleged gun incident on Columbia Center Boulevard around 2:30PM.

A group of citizens were holding a pro-Trump rally near CC Boulevard and Quinault at the intersection, with a number of people involved on both sides of the intersection.

Police were told by the caller that a man driving a black Volkswagen sedan pulled a gun on some of the participants. The caller, said police, did not see the gun itself but followed the car and provided details and license plate. They said others at the rally witnessed the man's actions.

The lone occupant driver were located and detained, and after numerous interviews with people from the rally and the driver, (said to be a 60-year-old man in the police report), officers impounded the vehicle for investigative purposes. The driver was released, the investigation continues. His ID has not yet been divulged.

Police say anyone else who may have information about this incident is urged to call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential.
