City Of Pasco Seeking Applications for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Commission

Back in 2018, the City Council in Pasco passed a resolution reinforcing the city's commitment to being and inclusive city, and now a committee is being created and applicants sought.  According to the city:

"In 2018,  the Pasco City Council approved Resolution 3820, reinforcing the City’s commitment to being an “Inclusive City” and creating a community Inclusivity Commission (now called the IDE Commission). The Resolution declares the City as “…committed to embracing diversity and promoting equality among our workforce, residents, businesses, and visitors…”

The information release went on to say:

"The Resolution further provided for a seven-member commission to assist the Council in its efforts to promote inclusivity in Pasco. The Commission is charged to “conduct activities… identify means… and make such recommendations to the City Council for action, education, and guidance to foster an environment that includes, accepts, respects, and appreciates all members of our community.”

Anyone who is interested in being considered for serving on the committee, you must have resided within the city limits for at least one year, or own a business in the city limits that is currently operating.
