Demo Derby A Can’t Miss For Benton Franklin Fair Kickoff!

Make sure you take in the Demolition Derby Monday, August 24th at the Benton-Franklin Fairgrounds. It's considered the 'official' kickoff to the fair.

Last year, Townsquare Media held a contest, offering listeners a chanced to win a "drive" in one of the 4-cylinder class cars that competed.  Several dozen of these smaller rigs bashed and clashed their way around the fairgrounds. These care proceeded the big monster V-8's that bring dozens of competitors as well.

The Newstalk 870 entry made the final four before finally losing it's engine.  Our country station 102.7KORD, also had a competitive car.

Make sure you get your tickets early because this event ALWAYS sells out!   Gates open at 4, time trials at 6:30 and racing and demolishing to follow!
