Driver Dies in Pickup vs. Potato Truck Collision in Benton County

One person is dead after an early Thursday morning collision between a potato truck and a passenger truck on Plymouth Road. The crash apparently occurred around 8AM.

Benton County Deputies say the collision occurred about two miles north of Plymouth and the intersection with State Route 14, which runs along the Columbia River. It was about a half mile west of I-82 shortly before the Oregon border.

Deputies didn't say which driver died, and their identity has not yet been released.The other driver was taken to a nearby hospital. The accident remains under investigation.
