Feeling SAD? Head for the Hills
SAD or seasonal affective disorder is a type of depression that occurs the same time every year. I realized a few years ago I was suffering from the ailment around this time of year due to lack of sunshine. Lets face when is the last time we've seen the sun? It's been a few weeks. I found a great way to push away the winter blues..
This is my 4th season skiing on a regular basis and what I didn't realize is when you drive out of the Columbia Basin up into the mountains there is lots of sunshine. It's been really grey and gloomy in Tri-Cites for several weeks now but as you can see from my pictures I took on New Years day there was plenty of sun at White Pass. They also sell phototherapy lights if you are unable to leave town.
