Felix Hernandez Throws First Perfect Game in Seattle Mariners History

They don't call him 'The King' for nothing. Today Felix Hernandez retired 27 straight batters. No hits. No walks. No batters hit by pitch. No base runners at all. That is what is called a perfect game. At just 26 years old, 'El Rey' threw the 3rd perfect game this season, the 23rd perfect game in Major League Baseball History, and just the first for the Seattle Mariners organization. Incredible.

I don't have any words to explain this. When Phil Hughes almost had his perfect game here I said I have to have one. I realized in the third. I was like, wow, nobody on base.

The Seattle Mariners wrapped up the series against the Tampa Bay Rays with the 1-0 win behind Felix's gem this afternoon.
