According to sources, a man has died following a fire that broke out at an apartment complex in Kennewick early Sunday evening.

Around 6:15PM, Police and fire units responded to the Tanglewood Apartments at 465 North Arthur, just south of Kamiakin High School.

No specifics were given as to what triggered the blaze, it was in a second-story unit on the west, or backside of the building. It was confined to a single unit, however three others were evacuated due to smoke damage and some water from fire units.

According to Fire Officials, an unconscious man was found inside the unit that caught fire. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but did not survive.

No other information has been released, the investigation continues. This incident occurred in the "C" building, four years ago a fire ripped through the "D" building displacing a number of residents. It was rebuilt.
