Four Teens Injured in Grant County Roll Over Traffic Accident
Four teens were injured in an automobile accident that left one girl with serious injuries. Grant County Sheriff's Department provided the details about the accident.
According to a press release from the Grant County Sheriff's Department, four youth were injured in a crash near Royal City.
The reports say a 16-year-old Royal City girl is hospitalized in Seattle due to injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash near Royal City around 4 a.m. this morning.

The girl was one of three passengers in a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Royal City boy. The vehicle was heading east on Road 11-Southwest from Road P-Southwest when the driver dropped his cell phone. While reaching down to retrieve the phone, the driver swerved off the road and struck a utility pole, causing the vehicle to roll over.
Royal Slope Fire and American Medical Response Grant County provided care for the injured.
A 16-year-old girl passenger was partially ejected, suffered life-threatening injuries, and was airlifted to Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee and then to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The driver and two other passengers, ages 16 and 17, were transported by ambulance to Samaritan Healthcare in Moses Lake. Their injuries were non-life-threatening.
The driver apparently took his family's vehicle without his parents' knowledge.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Motor Traffic Unit is investigating and charges against the driver are pending.
