The Gentlemen of the Road are set to ROCK Walla Walla this weekend, and it's going to be an amazing festival! Sure you've heard of the Foo Fighters and Mumford and Sons, but there are so many other bands to check out. Here's my pick of the top 5 non-headliners to check out this weekend in Walla Walla. And remember single day tickets are still available as well as weekend passes. Who knows when a festival of this caliber is going to be in our area again so take advantage! I'm going to be there, and I hope you are too!

    Hey Marsellies

These super-talented musicians out of Seattle are amazing! Taking cues from classical and folk music with a twist of their own. Though they've played all over this fine country, it's great to see local artists in their own back yard. Definitely check them out, you will be very glad you did!

    Whiskey Creek Band

This Walla Walla band is country gold! They are known as Walla Walla's party band, and they know how to have a good time. I have yet to see them live, but the second I mention them to anyone who has, they freak out! These guys sure know how to have a great time. I can't wait to see them!

I had the pleasure of first encountering these almost indescribable musicians at Sasquatch in 2014 and I was hooked. They are strange, fun, and amazing live. If you're looking for music that is out of the ordinary in the bets possible way, check them out. You won't be disappointed.

    The Grizzled Mighty

Their gritty guitar and dirty-smooth vocals will get you grooving to the sound of The Mighty Grizzled upon first listen. Reminiscent of the Black Keys, this band will have you swaying along in no time. Big things are definitely on the horizon, so check them out now while you can on the cheap!

    The Maldives

You'll get chills listening to these guys play. A staple of the Northwest music scene, these guys will have you loving their soulful bluegrass sounds, even if you've never heard anything like them before. It's hard to keep a crowd's interest when playing slow songs, but through the up-beat and the down you'll be hooked. LOVE these guys!
