What does this mean for Tri-Cities?
Come on now. This is nothing new for us. Batten down the hatches. Keep your trash cans in place. Keep the trampolines secured. Cover your plants and flowers. We've been through this on multiple occasions. It's a pre-requisite when it comes to living here.
According to the National Weather Service:
Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles.
What does this mean for the mountains?
Winter weather with 12-24 inches of snow is expected in higher elevations. Heavy snow is expected for elevations of 2,500 feet and higher through Tuesday. Wind gusts will impact travel with blowing snow, and slick roads.
As always, make sure you clean your windshields.
