Here’s How to Support the Family of Washington’s Fallen Green Beret
Last week we learned of the death of Staff Sgt. Matthew "Tatonka" McClintock of the Washington National Guard in Afghanistan. The green beret died in action only months after celebrating his second anniversary and the birth of his son Declan. Here's what you can do to help:
Two weeks before his death McClintock posted to his personal Facebook page a plea to donate to the Green Beret Foundation in behalf of his team member who was severely injured.
Now his wife Alexandria is posting news articles about her fallen husband on her own page and giving friends and families updates about how she's coping. How ironic McClintock's own family now needs support from that same Foundation just weeks later.
The group helps the wounded, their families and the families of the fallen. If you don't know the McClintocks personally, you can make a donation to the foundation or aid in their fundraising efforts.
