An unnamed man is lucky he didn't suffer harm early Friday morning when he discovered he couldn't get out of a dumpster garbage truck.

APPARENTLY, MAN CLIMBED IN SEEKING WARMTH?

Around 6 AM according to Pasco Fire Units, a Basin DIsposal dumpster truck was operating near Issac Stevens Middle School on 22nd Ave. when the driver thought he heard a man yelling.

Officials say this time of year during colder weather, it's not uncommon for people to climb inside these units, seeking warmer conditions.

DID HE CLIMB IN OR WAS HE DUMPED IN?

Officials believe the man intentionally climbed inside and was not dumped there from another dumpster.

Fire crews, according to KNDU-NBC-TV, lowered in a ladder to help retrieve the man. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
