Snow is on the way and that means a ton of drivers will be driving around with snow and ice all over their vehicles.

It can be pretty dangerous to have snow flying off your car as you are racing down 395 or 240 but is it illegal in the state of Washington not to have to clean off your car of snow?

16 states make it illegal to not clear off your vehicle of snow but Washington State Law is a lot less clear. It's all about the line of sight and not so much about how much snow you've accumulated, but if you can see clearly or not.

Washington allows police to stop drivers for traveling with accumulated ice on their vehicles, but the offense does not carry a fine.

It's not a state law in Washington but as winter and snow start flying, it might be a nice thing to do and be a good citizen keeping your vehicle clear of snow and ice.
