More information is coming out aboutg a 46-year-old Kennewick man, arrested after a lengthy investigation into child porn computer charges.

  The Suspect Claims His Computer Was Hacked

Jason S. Reugsegger was arrested by law enforcement June 11th, after authorities finished a long preliminary investigation into Google tips that child abuse porn was uploaded to his computer.

Authorities began to monitor him after the 2024  tip, and the investigation continued into 2025.   The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified Officials on December 5th of 2024, child porn images were uploaded into his Google account.

 Reugsegger Claimed His Computer Was Hacked

When he was interviewed  by Detectives after his arrest, he claimed his computer was hacked, including the 12 images that had been uploaded. Authorities have begun searching through all his other digital and electronic devices.

  The Suspect Was Employed by the Kennewick School District

He served as what the District said was an 'on-call' role as a bus attendant. KSD defines that job as a specialized support professional who rides buses and along with the driver, provides assistance to special education students, ensuring their safety, comfort and behavioral needs are met during transit.

However, that was not his fulltime permanent job.

However, KSD said his last work was in December of 2025, his employment period with KSD was listed in school records as being from January 14th of 2025 through March of 2026.
