The late 60s was a wild time to be alive, especially if you lived in Washington State. Townsfolk were up in arms about the possibility of anyone trying to kill Bigfoot. Some years later, people were up in arms about those smooth-talking gyrating dancers coming into towns and getting the ladies all excited, and no one knew about it in advance. Not to be left out of the strange and weird Washington laws discussion is the fact that at least one jilted lover has pulled a “Karen and Ken” and “complained to the manager” about people hugging whilst driving. Did you know there’s laws on the books to ban all of these three things?

1 . YOU CAN’T KILL BIGFOOT AROUND HERE, PALLY!

2 . DON’T DRIVE AND HUG, YOU BIG LUG!
We don’t care if you’re in love or whatever, it’s illegal in Washington to drive and hug. That’s not a typo; I wasn’t trying to say drive and CHUG, which is also against the law. No, I’m talking about “embracing” while driving. You can’t do that!
3 . YOU HAD BETTER LET THE STATE KNOW IN ADVANCE IF YOU PLAN ON BRINGING ANY OF THOSE HANKY-PANKY SHOWS TO YOUR CLUB!
There’s a law on the books that says a business has to submit a 48-hour advance notice to the Liquor Board for any exotic dance review shows. No hanky-panky business (without a permit)! That means the ol’ thunder from asunder show needs to give prior notice to “The Man.”
