Trooper C. Thorson of the Washington State Patrol has now shared a brief but compelling video clip of a suspected impaired driver failing a field sobriety test.

July 2, a male suspect was arrested following a hit-and-run accident near 10th and Highway 395 in Kennewick. You may have been in that area when it happened.

Trooper Thorson said the suspect driver slammed into a motor home then fled the scene. He was later located hiding in some nearby bushes, but was apprehended. After failing the sobriety test he was arrested for DUI.

It didn't appear there were any injuries to the people in the motor home that was hit, but extensive damage to the suspect's car. He was formally charged with DUI due to drugs.
