Kennewick Hotel Shooting Victim Drives Self to Hospital

Kennewick Police say the incident occurred around 8:30PM Sunday night, and is a developing investigation.

Officers were called to the parking lot of the Econolodge on North Ely and Highway 395 for a report of shots fired.

But when they arrived, all the persons involved had fled. However, after checking with area hospitals quickly, they learned the victim, identified as 38-year-old Andre Sanchez, had driven himself to Lourdes Medical Center. He was treated for a non life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police did not elaborate much, but did say they believe the shooter and victim know each other. The investigation continues.
