Level 3 Sex Offender Sought by Benton Deputies, Police

Benton County Sheriff's Deputies and Kennewick Police are attempting to locate a man who's listed as a "transient" but also a Level 3 sex offender.

44-year-old Ruben Edward Pangelinan is wanted for failure to check in with authorities as required by his terms of release. He has failed to check in weekly with the Sheriff's office since May 15 of this year, and he's also being sought on a Kennewick charge of Failure to Appear.

According to authorities, Pangelinan was convicted of 2nd Degree Child Molestation in March 1993 in Spokane County, and again for 3rd Degree Molestation in Benton County in May of 1999.

He was first said to be back in the Tri-Cities area in 2018, per a standard Sheriff's Department public bulletin requiring notification of Sex Offenders relocating or living in the local jurisdiction.
