It's hard to believe the driver of this rental car survived, or was able to walk away from the scene.

Thursday, according to Washington State Patrol Troopers, they got a call around 1pm about possible car crash just North of the Oregon border. A metallic gray car was spotted in the brush about 200 feet off the roadway. A passing driver saw it and called 911.

Trooper Chris Thorson, who helps head up the Tri-City Detatchment, did not say if it was likely headed North or South, but it was badly damaged.

Turns out the 2019 Nissan Versa is a rental car, and was reported stolen 10 days ago. Which company and where it was stolen from were not mentioned in the report. Investigators are now searching a variety of sources to try to find the last person to rent it, and obviously checking area hospital ER's.

It is not yet known how long the car has been there.
