Multiple Vehicle Theft-Prowl Suspect Chased, Sought by Cops

A truck chase Saturday morning, and K-9 track did not result in the captured of the suspect, but police are still working on it.

In Pasco early Saturday, a victim called 911 to report his truck had been stolen earlier that morning. He was able to see it as it was driving away, and he followed it to Kennewick. Officers were alerted, then spotted the truck near 4th and and Kent.

The truck turned into the Meadow Park Apartments across from the Kennewick School District Admin Building on 4th, where the driver dumped the vehicle and ran. Pasco Police rushed over K-9 Elan for a track but the dog lost the scent due to the downpouring rain.

Police believe this suspect is also responsible for a series of other car prowls and even some auto thefts. He's described as a Hispanic male, last seen wearing shorts, a black hoodie, and white face mask. The investigation continues.
