Oregon Governor Kate Brown issued an executive order related to the COVID-19 virus Sunday.

The order prohibits residential evictions for 90 days. It also places a hold on legal law enforcement actions that may be related to such evictions, such as serving the papers or assisting a landlord in evicting a "stubborn" tenant.

According to the Governor's office, in light of landlords/property owners who also have mortgages on these rental properties to pay, officials are urging lenders to work with their clients, and Oregon officials have been directed to come up with relief or assistance packages to help such landlords.

The 90 moratorium went into effect immediately Sunday 3-22.
