Pasco Man in Custody After Drive-By Shooting on W. Yakima Street
A Pasco man remains behind bars on numerous charges after a shooting Friday night.
20-year old Rafael Marquez was booked into jail after a drive-by shooting in the 2100 block of West Yakima Street. Just before 7:15 pm, several shots were fired, with two entering a residence. One round hit a living room couch. No one was injured in the shooting. However, the person inside the home was able to provide officers with video of a possible suspect vehicle and the name of the alleged gunman.
The suspect car was located at 9:10 pm at an apartment complex in the 9300 block of Chapel Hill Boulevard. The Street Crimes Unit saw a shotgun and holster in the vehicle. After search warrants were obtained, Marquez was located and taken into custody.
A search of an apartment and the vehicle turned up a stolen Glock 9mm pistol, a shotgun, ammunition, cash, drugs, and paraphernalia.
Marquez was taken to Franklin County Jail on an assortment of charges, including Assault, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Cocaine, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
