You've driven by several motels around the Tri-Cities and you've seen the fencing up as renovations have begun. Another Pasco motel has sold and soon it will be renovated for a totally different cause.

The Loyalty Inn will soon be a thing of the past as an Oregon developer has bought the property and will soon renovate it into "mini" apartments.

This purchase will be the fifth property bought in the Tri-Cities. Fortify Holdings is also trying to close purchases on the Quality Inn in Kennewick, The Rodeway Inn in Pasco, and the Days Inn in Richland.

The Loyalty Inn will be converted into 160 "mini" apartment units according to an article from the Tri-City Herald. The Loyalty Inn is located on Lewis Street and has been in a dilapidated state for many years and has been rated as a 2-star motel with scathing reviews.

Fortify Holdings of the Mid-Columbia is spending some $30 million on renovating rundown motels in the area. If you see fencing and construction going on at old motels in the Tri-Cities, odds are they'll soon be owned by Fortify Holdings.

The one motel they haven't bought was the Economy Inn in Richland, another holding company has purchased that property.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
