One thing I've always known and loved about living in this community is when someone needs help, we step up and give what we can. This is one of those moments where others in our community are going through some really tough times and they need our help.

There are two families that are part of  Pasco Youth Football and they are facing one of the hardest things a parent and family could ever go through.

One child has been diagnosed with an extremely rare tumor that can only be treated by a specialist at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.  The other child has been recently diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Both families have needed to adjust their lives for the better of their children and with that comes more and more expenses.

This Saturday the Pasco Youth football will be having a silent auction and and bake sale for the families in need. If you would like to show your support then stop by their fields located at Highland Park in Pasco at 500 N. Wehe. You can get up to date info and details on how you can help support these families also by visiting the PYF website or their Facebook page.

Pasco Little League will also be donating Gatorade to sell, with the proceeds going to the families. In addition, there will be donation buckets at the concession stands to help out.

Also in upcoming weeks, PYF will donate 100% of the concession stand profits to the families as well.

We've also donated a pair of tickets to Rush Nov. 13th at the Key Arena, a pair of reserved tickets to see Theory of a Deadman at the Central Washington State Fair plus some autographed memorabilia from your favorite bands.

Here's your chance to help some local families in need of some great community support.
