The two were taken to care after their passenger plane crashed just after 4 pm from the Richland Airport.

Fire crews had to extricate the duo from the wreckage shortly after takeoff from the runway.

It was an extremely strong gust of wind that knocked the plane over into trees during takeoff on the runway.

The man and woman were removed from the wreckage and taken to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.
