Graduation is a milestone, and we’re proud of how far you've come. Yakima Federal and Townsquare Media radio stations want to be sure graduating seniors in the Mid-Columbia are celebrated and recognized for their achievement.  Yakima Federal and Townsquare are giving you the opportunity to make a special ‘Salute to Seniors’ Shout-Out! This is a unique recorded personal message from you or a group that will air on this station between now and June 25th. It’s easy and it’s free – download the station mobile app and record and send us a short message for your graduating senior! Then listen for your salute to your senior. Congratulations to the class of 2020 and to all the 2020 Yakima Federal Academic Excellence Award recipients* from Yakima Federal and Townsquare Media.  Need help with recording your message? This will pull up our in-app recorder. It works just like any recording app you may already be familiar with. Tap the red "REC" icon to record and hit "done" to stop recording. When you're finished, hit "submit" to send it our way. It's that easy!

In 2020, Yakima Federal Savings and Loan will award $174,000 in academic assistance to area students and schools. In addition to $2,000 to each student, Central Washington University, Yakima Valley College, Pacific Northwest University, Perry Tech, Heritage University, Columbia Basic College and WSU Tri-Cities will each receive $2,000. Since the program's inception in 1974, Yakima Federal Savings and Loan has given $2,328,100 to local students and institutions to help pay for secondary education.
