Everybody has a hobby. It could be casual, it could be a social club, it could be collecting things. We're fortunate to live in a town big enough to have some local stores catering to various hobbies. For me, it's Adventures Underground and Groovy Records for my music and reading needs. For others, there are bicycle stores and outdoor stores. If you're a plant person, like my wife, you may wind up visiting this Kennewick store very soon.

Slate & Aloe opened up in Downtown Kennewick in the fall of 2022.

If you've never visited downtown Kennewick or it's been a while since your last trip, it's a bit hard to explain what you should expect. There are a number of bars and dining establishments, there's a jeweler, there are antique stores, and now there's a new store for those in possession of a green thumb. Plants aren't the only thing at Slate & Aloe, they sell books too and you can also buy some tea. The idea is to just relax. Downtown Kennewick is hustling and bustling and honestly, it's nice to have a break sometimes and that's what Slate & Aloe is hoping to do for Tri-Citians.
