The Tri-Cities Cancer Center will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Cancer Crushing Community Garden next Thursday. The event will be at 10 am at 7350 West Deschutes Avenue, Building A, in Kennewick.

Even though the event is outdoors, masks are mandatory and social distancing will be enforced.

Those planting the garden intend to plant a wide variety of food that will be used in the Tri-Cities Cancer Center's Cancer Crushing Cuisine cooking classes. The classes teach people how to prepare healthy meals meant to battle cancer and to teach individuals a healthy lifestyle.
