Washington’s Lotto is $9.4 Million – And You Can’t Play
Just my luck. I won a whopping six bucks in Wednesday night's Lotto drawing, but much to my chagrin I not only couldn't cash my ticket (full disclosure I was just going to buy more tickets anyways) but also the drawing for Saturday has been suspended.
You see, the State of Washington has not yet approved state operating and capital budgets for the 2017-19 biennium, which begins tomorrow, July 1.
Shutdown will go from temporary to full if the Legislature does not enact before July 1.
This not only affects Washington's games but also the national Mega Millions and Powerball prizes. You will NOT be able to participate in these games at any Washington outlet until this is resolved.
