One of our favorite Kennewick restaurants will take a bow on November 30th.

You've seen and known the building along highway 395 since 1984 and now the China Cafe will be closing its doors on November 30th

We wrote a few weeks back about Graze, a popular sandwich shop, in Richland and Kennewick will soon have a third location in Kennewick taking over the China Cafe

In an article from the Tri-City Herald, the owners of the China Cafe will be closing their doors for good on November 30th.

The China Cafe which opened its doors in 1984 will not renew its lease due to rising costs and after November 30th will close down.

According to the article, Graze won't take over the property for another six months after the China Cafe closes down. The China Cafe's building is a former Pizza Hut so it will be interesting to see what the new owners will do with the building.
