Who’s Cutting Christmas Light Wires in West Richland?!?

West Richland Police are shaking their heads over this one.

The department has taken some calls from area residents that somebody(s) is cutting wiring and chords on Christmas lights, making them inoperable. Unless you're an electrician (clever with wiring), cutting the actual light wires themselves usually ruins the entire strand, and the display.

Police didn't specify where these reports were from, but they did say this on their Facebook page about it while urging the perps to 'just stop it:'

"We hate having to arrest people for doing dumb things (AKA Destruction of Property); especially during the holidays."

We second that.  We need a lot less Grinch this holiday season.
