Kennewick police sped to Davita Dialysis on West 19th just after 5 a.m. Monday morning to find 51-year-old John L. Supak Jr. of Benton City hiding in a conference room.

Employees on the dialysis side of the building at 3208 West 19th were already at work at 5 a.m. and reported some suspicious activity on the business side of the facility.

Upon arrival, authorities watched the suspect throw a rock through a window and climb in. At that time, police using a bullhorn ordered the suspect to come out with his hands up, but he refused.

A K-9 unit was called and entered the building. The suspect was found in a conference room and refused to surrender. He tried to lock himself in and was subdued and taken into custody on burglary charges.
